Nationally Known Poet Georgia Me is on a mission to inspire, motivate and uplift.

From admiring civil rights heroes to being asked to speak by Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and The Honorable Louis Farrakhan. Destiny met. From Booker T. Washington High Teaching Theatre on Whitehouse Dr to starring in the TONY AWARD WINNING show Russell Simmons Presents Def Poetry Jam on Broadway @ 48th and 8th.Dreams realized. From being a fan of GOODIE MOB to hosting the official reunion at the Masquerade Park. Prayers answered. From being a counselor at Butler St YMCA to mentoring and ministering to several women, men and children. Goals accomplished!

Our future is here now and it is still in need of positive role models, people, events, and inspiring words. The Tamika Festival aims to fill in the gap of what's missing, which is clean fun enjoyment. The Tamika Festival is a cultural celebration exhibiting various talents ranging from MUSIC to MAGIC to the MIGHTY SPOKEN WORD. Established and underground stars and legends lend their gifts and time for the extravaganza. The Tamika Festival launches on May 4th, 2011 at Omenala Griot Cultural Ctr, located at 337 Dargan Pl. Atlanta, GA 30310

In 2008, the beautiful sisters of Delta Sigma Theta chose Tamika "Georgiame" Harper to the recipient of the KUUMBA award. Georgiame joins great women like Pearl Cleage, Keisha Knight Pulliam and Judith Jamison. In turn the cities of Atlanta, East Point, College Park and Fulton County proclaimed May 4th TAMIKA "GEORGIAME" HARPER DAY!!

In true GA.Me fashion she chooses to serve others, highlight gifts and enlighten her fellow Atlantians. Thus the TAMIKA FESTIVAL was born.

With the hosting beauties of Ms Dia, The Diva Nikki Wade, and Ingrid B. of Miami, festivities include 3 nights of amazing performances, the best poets: J.Ivey, M'reld, Tommy Bottoms, Dana Gilmore, Huggy Bear, i am tasha jones, Redstorm, Tha S.O.N.G.B.I.R.D, Cola Rum, Eva Katurah, Lightning, Archie Da Messenger, Tina ATL, Divine Rhymes, STARR, BONNIE, Rewop, Duwop, Labeeb, Yo Sista, Maximus Parthas, and Tribal Raine.
